PROF. DR. Claudio Oller
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1975), a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1979), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Salford (1982). Currently, he is a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo.
With extensive experience in Chemical Engineering, his expertise focuses on Industrial Chemical Engineering Processes, particularly in the following areas: neural networks, mathematical modeling, water treatment, photochemical processes, and biotechnology.
PROF. DR. THIAGO OLITTA BASSO
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2003) and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Abertay, UK (2005), under the supervision of Prof. Graeme Walker. He earned a Ph.D. in Sciences (2011) from the University of São Paulo, conducting the experimental phase of his research at the Polytechnic School of the same institution.
From September 2009 to August 2010, he undertook a research exchange under the supervision of Prof. Jack Pronk at the Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Between 2011 and 2015, he worked as a Senior Scientist at Novozymes, a Danish biotechnology company, in the Research and Development Department.
Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor (MS-3.2) in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of São Paulo, where he continues to focus on the physiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, and metabolic engineering of microorganisms.
